TRIDC was founded in Redlands, California in 2010 by Róisín Robson.

Based in mainland Europe, the World Irish Dance Association organizes workshops, competitions and examinations to aid in the promotion of the tradition of Irish dancing.

W.I.D.A is aware that in recent years, competition and shows have become the focal point of Irish dancing.

W.I.D.A is about fun, friendship, inclusivity and the passing on of the knowledge and culture of Irish dancing.
